The results of our research and analysis are not just for our own benefit, but for the benefit of city staff, business and city leaders and the residents of Colorado Springs. To that end, we have committed to presenting our findings to various groups of both city staff, city leaders and residents. Below are summaries of various presentations we have made.

Candidates Forum

January 22, 2011

In the morning session, The City Committee presented its initial findings and recommendations to a gathering of mayoral and city council candidates. In the afternoon the Committee hosted a forum to expose the candidates to a balanced discussion on the changing dynamics of health care delivery and what these challenges mean to Memorial Health System, and our city and region at large.  The forum was moderated by Shawn Raintree, co-founder of Kaiser-Permanente’s operation in Colorado Springs.   The panel consisted of:

  • Larry McEvoy, MD, CEO of Memorial Health System.
  • Larry Singer, MHSA, J.D., health care consultant.
  • Stephen Hyde, President of Hyde Consulting, a health strategy advisory firm.
  • David Whelan, President of Stroudwater Associates, a national health care consulting firm.

By all measures, the event was a great success. Click the links below to download the four presentations:
